Hi, its Brent!! I thought that I would help Suzanne with posting since we have not posted in a while and we thought it would be a good idea to update you all on our going abouts (or as much as we can that is for sure.) Well many of you are keenly aware that we are in the process of selling our house (or at least trying to). Well we had a couple that is friends of one of our neighbors down in Austin. The Couple, I guess, was supposedly very interested and was trying to work out details on what to do and how to do. They were even considering trying to rent our house. Well, it had been a waiting game for a short couple weeks because the couple supposedly had a son go into the hospital. Well yesterday, we got news that it appears that the couple is out of the market for whatever reason.
So we are kind of back to square one. I am not too pleased with our realtor right now because on top of the above, I just found out that the builder finally starting building new homes and one just like ours just became available and it has a lot more upgrades and they are only asking about 7K more than what we paid. The lady had 4-5 months to push the home with no new home inventory from the builder, now we might get squeezed by the builder out of competition. Now I am hoping not many other incentives that we cannot compete with but who knows, we shall see.
The new job is going great. As great as can be. We lost a few of the clients that we were expecting to take on when I got here. Mostly due to us dropping the ball on our end, but we have picked up some clients on other fronts to at least pick up the slack.
As far as kids go, they are still crazy and wild (especially Sydney). She is so funny, because she is so polite in her disobedience. We ask her to please eat some vegetables and she replies ever so nonchanlantly "No thank you." It is pretty cute and pretty darn funny.
Owen is a chunker. And when I say chunker, you better believe it. He is just over 5 months now (almost 6) and he has easily surpassed the 20 lbs barrier. So much so, that carrying him in the arms for more than 20 mins wears you because he is just so big and heavy. But he laughs a lot and is super ticklish. He is a lot of fun and gets stronger and smarter every day. Here are some pictures and I will upload and do more when I have a chance. A little out of order, but hey they work.
Sierra and Sydney. - The Houston Forbush Family came to our place in Austin to escape the ravages of Hurricane Ike in September. Luckily, we were dry as a desert and they place withstood the damage and got most utilities back up pretty quickly.
Sydney loves this cheapo sunglasses from Michaels. She wears them when we get in the car. Even funnier when it is really bright outside, she says "It's dark - I want my sunglasses." We are working on trying to get here to say, "It's bright!"
Megan Dayton, Sydney, and Bronwin Belanger (her friends) at our's and Zeb & Denise Petterborgs going away party in Hutto. Sydney is sure going to miss those friends she made.
