Pictures, Pictures and more pictures

CHUNKER OWEN. Just cannot wait any longer for more of his rice cereal. (Funny thought because this highchair dwarfs him compared to when Sydney sits in it.)

Sydney and Owen both like to play with Owen's new bouncer. Owen loves to lay on his stomach and sit in his bouncer. NOT ON HIS BACK!! We hear that almost right away.

Owen eating more of his rice cereal. You can see how happy eating rice cereal makes him. Either that or daddy is making funny faces.
Sydney has taken on a strong love for both Grandmas and that was one of our deciding factors in returning closer to home. (though we are really close since we are living in Grandma Forbush's house till our's sells). Sydney immediately looks for Grandma every morning and Grandma is usually exercising. But when Grandma gets back, Sydney yells out a big "GRANDMA!"

See I was not kidding that Owen is big. This is a pretty recent picture and he has kept growing.

Owen and Sydney. Sydney loves to try and hold him though he is way too heavy for her. (You try holding something that weighs just as much as you do - or pretty darn close at least)

In addition to loving have Grandma around all day, Sydney has grown the same kind of love for popcorn that her Grandma forbush has. She wants it every Sunday night.

Sydney and see snow for that first time that she will probably actually remember seeing snow. She is so smart nowadays that I cannot even let her see her christmas presents otherwise she remembers what she is getting.

No News & No Luck

Hi, its Brent!! I thought that I would help Suzanne with posting since we have not posted in a while and we thought it would be a good idea to update you all on our going abouts (or as much as we can that is for sure.) Well many of you are keenly aware that we are in the process of selling our house (or at least trying to). Well we had a couple that is friends of one of our neighbors down in Austin. The Couple, I guess, was supposedly very interested and was trying to work out details on what to do and how to do. They were even considering trying to rent our house. Well, it had been a waiting game for a short couple weeks because the couple supposedly had a son go into the hospital. Well yesterday, we got news that it appears that the couple is out of the market for whatever reason.

So we are kind of back to square one. I am not too pleased with our realtor right now because on top of the above, I just found out that the builder finally starting building new homes and one just like ours just became available and it has a lot more upgrades and they are only asking about 7K more than what we paid. The lady had 4-5 months to push the home with no new home inventory from the builder, now we might get squeezed by the builder out of competition. Now I am hoping not many other incentives that we cannot compete with but who knows, we shall see.

The new job is going great. As great as can be. We lost a few of the clients that we were expecting to take on when I got here. Mostly due to us dropping the ball on our end, but we have picked up some clients on other fronts to at least pick up the slack.

As far as kids go, they are still crazy and wild (especially Sydney). She is so funny, because she is so polite in her disobedience. We ask her to please eat some vegetables and she replies ever so nonchanlantly "No thank you." It is pretty cute and pretty darn funny.

Owen is a chunker. And when I say chunker, you better believe it. He is just over 5 months now (almost 6) and he has easily surpassed the 20 lbs barrier. So much so, that carrying him in the arms for more than 20 mins wears you because he is just so big and heavy. But he laughs a lot and is super ticklish. He is a lot of fun and gets stronger and smarter every day. Here are some pictures and I will upload and do more when I have a chance. A little out of order, but hey they work.

Sierra and Sydney. - The Houston Forbush Family came to our place in Austin to escape the ravages of Hurricane Ike in September. Luckily, we were dry as a desert and they place withstood the damage and got most utilities back up pretty quickly.

Sydney loves this cheapo sunglasses from Michaels. She wears them when we get in the car. Even funnier when it is really bright outside, she says "It's dark - I want my sunglasses." We are working on trying to get here to say, "It's bright!"

Megan Dayton, Sydney, and Bronwin Belanger (her friends) at our's and Zeb & Denise Petterborgs going away party in Hutto. Sydney is sure going to miss those friends she made.

Hurricane Ike

Just wanted to make sure everyone knew that we are fine and the hurricane was not close enough to us to bother us at all. At one point we were going to get 2-6 inches of rain but in the end all we got was some wind, and even that wasn't bad.

OWEN (TBD) FORBUSH has Arrived!

Many of you have received the emails I sent out last night. Ranging from anywhere to 3:30 am to 8 am. Baby Owen arrived this morning at 2:32 am to loving mom and dad. We had only arrived at the hospital at 1:30 am. Though Suzanne was having some contractions from like 10:30 pm on. It was kind of nice because she was to be induced at 6 am. So it came before.

Also because Suzanne was so far along and it went so quickly she was unable to receive an epidural. But nonetheless Mommy and little Baby Owen are doing just wonderfully resting in the hospital.

Here are some pictures for your enjoyment.

This picture you can tell - THE BOY HAS GOT SOME LUNGS! Good thing we were the only ones in Labor & Delivery at 2 am or this boy would have woken the whole block up. You can also see his weight pretty clearly. 9 lbs 7 oz. Coming in at a length of 20.5 inches.

What a great picture! Squeezed baby face!

This is Brent, Sydney and Owen. Sydney wanted to hold Own while sitting on Daddy's lap. Then she started thumping Owen's head or brushing it and saying Sssh Sssh!! A lot. Funny thing is - seems like Owen got all his screams and cries out at delivery (See picture above). He has been gentle, quiet and sleeping a lot since then. He was sleeping when Sydney was shushing him too.

Mom, Dad, and Baby Owen shortly after delivery. What a super trooper! No epidural from Suzanne and it looks like she is perfectly ok.!

Dad, Sydney and Owen enjoy some bonding time.

Some recent pictures.

(Grandma Forbush & Sydney)

Our last family picture before our new addition comes (hopefully on Tuesday)!!

While I was cleaning out and updating a 72-hour kit Sydney discovered a whistle in the kit! We hid it (back in the kit) as soon as she was in bed!!

Sydney loves glasses. I found an old pair of my glasses and took the lenses out. She loves to wear them and be like Mommy!

Recent BBQ's

We had a BBQ with a few of our neighbors for Memorial Day. It was originally a block party, but it ended up being just 3 houses. Sydney rode/carried her bike next door and then enjoyed riding scooters with Bob & Irene.

We had a pool party/birthday celebration for Sydney and one of her friends that has a birthday a few days after hers. Basically it was an excuse to BBQ and enjoy some time at the pool with friends. The kids enjoyed the chips the most.
