Fun Day

Well it's Brent again. I am really trying to think of a method where I can be consistent and post once a week (or at least twice a month). That way all of our family and friends can have a regular update because we are not good at anything else. So here goes our update.

We had a blast for Christmas. Jay and Jill (Suzanne's younger sister and Husband) came into town for an early christmas holiday. It was fun to spend some time with them and that day we even got Sydney to ride the Ferris Wheel in the Scheels store. (Mind you she was scared of it the first time.)

Then everytime we went back to the store she would want to ride it again. At the store they also sell like 100 different varieties of fudge and we all bought a bunch to share together which was delicious.

Suzanne and I celebrated birthdays. We had some friends over on my birthday for a game night and celebrated conjointly at that time. It was a blast. But Sydney could not be left out of the fun. So she stayed up till 11 pm. (Mind you she still woke up at 6 am the next morning) But it was a lot of friends. It was good to see some that we have not seen in years and it was the first time since moving back.

Christmas was a blast! Sydney loved every minute of it. She could not wait for Santa to get here. There were a lot of gifts and things to do but it was an enjoyable day. Pictures have been included below.

New Years Eve was another game night of friends and fun. (Lori and Scott were in town for the Christmas break)

Sydney is getting older and stronger, smarter, and quicker everyday. She loves to ask questions but she is scared of loud noises. She is loving senior nursery thus far. We had friends over for dinner tonight and she was the life of the party. She was running around the house yelling and playing and giving everyone a good laugh.

Owen is as big as ever. He is loving his food. I gave him noodles yesterday which on his plate of cheerios and noodles, he would push the cheerios around to fish out the noodles. He is not sleeping through the night right now (wakes up once of twice) but at eight months we have got to stop those bad habits. He has started army crawling and can really move that way.

Suzanne and I are sunbeam teachers and I just got called as a Stake Auditor in addition to sunbeams. It will be interesting considering that is my day job as well.

No news on the house. We switched realtors in Dec (which did not go over well with our other realtor - she took it very personally and hard but come on - no movement on my house I have got to change) . Currently, we put it up on the market for sale and lease with the new realtor, had a few bites but nothing too serious. So if anyone is looking for a house for rent in the Austin area, keep our house in mind.

We love you all - and miss all of our Hutto Friends dearly.

Take a look at the pictures.

Pictures again

A couple of cute pictures of Owen. His personality is really starting to shine through now.

This is Owen, he is pretty angrey that more food is not coming his way quick enough.
Owen and his crawling stage. He lifts himself up on his arms and toes and pushes himself around.
Sydney went to school on friday before the start of school after christmas break with Grammy Kitchen and of course she had to play school by coloring, writing and learning her alphabet.
Owen, Mommy, and Sydney went and spent the afternoon on the last Friday before the end of Christmas break at Grammy Kitchen's classroom. Owen is chilling on the floor having fun.

This is Sydney's second ride on the Ferris wheel with Daddy and cousin Ryan.
Another cute picture of Owen going crazy over something.

Just a good updated picture of Owen playing with his christmas blocks.

Sydney way too excited on the morning of Christmas opening her presents.

Sydney after having just woken up on Christmas (second picture taken by our brand new camera.)

So I bought Suzanne and I's birthday cake from Coldstone Creamery (red velvet and cake batter ice cream cake.) So I called a couple days prior and said the inscription should be "Happy Birthday Brent & Suzanne." I picked it up on monday and it reads "Happy Brent and Suzanne." Gave me a good laugh. The cake was still delicious though.
Just a very cute picture of Sydney and Grammy Kitchen.

Grandma Forbush made this cute apron for Sydney which she has been wearing around and loves to put on and help "make things."

Sydney and Grandpa Forbush working setting up the Christmas tree together. Sydney had a blast and was so careful with all of the ornaments.

Before The Bodily Family left, we went for a hike out at the Moon Rocks. This is Daddy and Sydney after our playing around the rocks.

Lori and Scott gave us a bed frame which is for a full bed. We set it up and it is Sydney's bed which she loves.

Pictures, Pictures and more pictures

CHUNKER OWEN. Just cannot wait any longer for more of his rice cereal. (Funny thought because this highchair dwarfs him compared to when Sydney sits in it.)

Sydney and Owen both like to play with Owen's new bouncer. Owen loves to lay on his stomach and sit in his bouncer. NOT ON HIS BACK!! We hear that almost right away.

Owen eating more of his rice cereal. You can see how happy eating rice cereal makes him. Either that or daddy is making funny faces.
Sydney has taken on a strong love for both Grandmas and that was one of our deciding factors in returning closer to home. (though we are really close since we are living in Grandma Forbush's house till our's sells). Sydney immediately looks for Grandma every morning and Grandma is usually exercising. But when Grandma gets back, Sydney yells out a big "GRANDMA!"

See I was not kidding that Owen is big. This is a pretty recent picture and he has kept growing.

Owen and Sydney. Sydney loves to try and hold him though he is way too heavy for her. (You try holding something that weighs just as much as you do - or pretty darn close at least)

In addition to loving have Grandma around all day, Sydney has grown the same kind of love for popcorn that her Grandma forbush has. She wants it every Sunday night.

Sydney and see snow for that first time that she will probably actually remember seeing snow. She is so smart nowadays that I cannot even let her see her christmas presents otherwise she remembers what she is getting.

No News & No Luck

Hi, its Brent!! I thought that I would help Suzanne with posting since we have not posted in a while and we thought it would be a good idea to update you all on our going abouts (or as much as we can that is for sure.) Well many of you are keenly aware that we are in the process of selling our house (or at least trying to). Well we had a couple that is friends of one of our neighbors down in Austin. The Couple, I guess, was supposedly very interested and was trying to work out details on what to do and how to do. They were even considering trying to rent our house. Well, it had been a waiting game for a short couple weeks because the couple supposedly had a son go into the hospital. Well yesterday, we got news that it appears that the couple is out of the market for whatever reason.

So we are kind of back to square one. I am not too pleased with our realtor right now because on top of the above, I just found out that the builder finally starting building new homes and one just like ours just became available and it has a lot more upgrades and they are only asking about 7K more than what we paid. The lady had 4-5 months to push the home with no new home inventory from the builder, now we might get squeezed by the builder out of competition. Now I am hoping not many other incentives that we cannot compete with but who knows, we shall see.

The new job is going great. As great as can be. We lost a few of the clients that we were expecting to take on when I got here. Mostly due to us dropping the ball on our end, but we have picked up some clients on other fronts to at least pick up the slack.

As far as kids go, they are still crazy and wild (especially Sydney). She is so funny, because she is so polite in her disobedience. We ask her to please eat some vegetables and she replies ever so nonchanlantly "No thank you." It is pretty cute and pretty darn funny.

Owen is a chunker. And when I say chunker, you better believe it. He is just over 5 months now (almost 6) and he has easily surpassed the 20 lbs barrier. So much so, that carrying him in the arms for more than 20 mins wears you because he is just so big and heavy. But he laughs a lot and is super ticklish. He is a lot of fun and gets stronger and smarter every day. Here are some pictures and I will upload and do more when I have a chance. A little out of order, but hey they work.

Sierra and Sydney. - The Houston Forbush Family came to our place in Austin to escape the ravages of Hurricane Ike in September. Luckily, we were dry as a desert and they place withstood the damage and got most utilities back up pretty quickly.

Sydney loves this cheapo sunglasses from Michaels. She wears them when we get in the car. Even funnier when it is really bright outside, she says "It's dark - I want my sunglasses." We are working on trying to get here to say, "It's bright!"

Megan Dayton, Sydney, and Bronwin Belanger (her friends) at our's and Zeb & Denise Petterborgs going away party in Hutto. Sydney is sure going to miss those friends she made.

Hurricane Ike

Just wanted to make sure everyone knew that we are fine and the hurricane was not close enough to us to bother us at all. At one point we were going to get 2-6 inches of rain but in the end all we got was some wind, and even that wasn't bad.
